In Xi’an, I met a couple of college students volunteering at the Terra-Cotta Warriors site. They were there to practice their English, so the next day we walked around Xi’an together and talked about American and Chinese culture. When they wanted to know if I’d seen any stars while living in Los Angeles, I tried naming a few people I’d seen. They’d never heard of Jessica Simpson. I decided they probably didn’t know who Darius McCrary (aka Eddie Winslow), my personal favorite LA sighting, was.

first, the street food looks marvelous. Second, they didn’t know who Jessica Simpson was????? Are there different celebrities that have more international fame? I suppose she hasn’t been much in the news lately either. Todd saw Vince Vaughn at the Grove on Saturday. Apparently he was trying to talk his way into a movie that was sold out. Hilarious. Wedding Crashers is now one of my favorite movies in an unrelated story. Also, you are so lucky you didn’t teach a traditional schedule, May and June (presumably if it’s like May) are HELL. Okay this turned into an e-mail, ttyl.
Hahaha (to all of the comment). Well, I guess Newlyweds just didn’t appeal to the Chinese audiences. I wonder what it would have been like to watch that show dubbed…
After all these years “Eddie Winslow” is Z list. He’s barely known in the US.
hahaha megan and i just had a good laugh about this.
