Clearly New Yorkers haven’t been exposed to the glory that is a true Wal-Mart Supercenter that has the extra-wide aisles and whole-city-block area.
While here in Denver this morning, the conversation about electronic stuff went something like this…
New Yorker: “I don’t think they’d have that at Wal-Mart.”
Me: “They have everything at Wal-Mart.”
Don’t have that at Wal-Mart???? How silly. They have everything from dress pants to fishing worms. And some days, well, you need both!
don’t you mean The Wal-Mart? that’s how we say it in the south.
I just wanted to give a shoutout to Colorado and I hope you enjoy your time in Denver! I´m from CO and went to school in Boulder, but I love Denver! Now that I’m living in Santiago, Chile I really miss D-town.
I also saw your blog entry about the olympics and I couldn´t agree more!
Seriously…I’m from Wal-Mart country (where some people DO call it The Wal-Mart)…I just don’t understand when people don’t know about the whole “let’s go buy a Christmas tree and get deodorant and a flat-screen TV” concept.
